Speed the wind with a fully roofless 675LT McLaren and enjoy an aerodynamically edgy supercar on the off-roads of Dubai!
Sharing part of its name with a classic, i.e. the LT denoting for “Long tail”, the one applied to the epic F1 GTR race cars of the 1990s and following the formula applied to the all new 675LT Spider convertible, are not to confuse anybody that this spider is something different from its namesakes and defiantly more aggressive than the convertibles.
That should be the case, for this McLaren 675LT Spider has a twin-turbocharged V-8 producing a devilish 666 horsepower that can speed it from zero-to-60 time in just 2.9 seconds—0.2 second behind the lighter coupe and with the trimming it undergone that made it 220 pounds lighter than the 650S Spider’s it can definitely speed the wind on a sunny day!
This McLaren can drive as good as a coup if we know that its down force is set to be 40 percent greater than on the 650S Spider, while the spring rates are 27 percent stiffer up front and 60 percent stiffer in the rear. These good features can be mounted by a bit stretched body from its namesakes and although with no long tail as the 675LT hardtop it shares the same goodies stuffed there.
So one should be hurrying renting for driving such a spider from McLaren especially if he/she knows that its price tag is at £285,450 ($431,935 at current exchange rates), quite a bit more expensive than the coupe, which costs £259,500 and that only 500 will be produced for global markets, guaranteeing rarity with the Spider’s exclusive “Solis” yellow paint option not being granted for everybody.
