A 2015 Mercedes-Benz SLS-Class offered exclusively for an elite few!

From the Outside (Part I)

The era of supercars has not yet vanished and with it the competition for the best demonstrative performer on the planet, well that’s what the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT for 2015 reveals with something of a return to the German automaker’s glory days.
Offered as a coupé or convertible and with a limited run of just 350 vehicles, this 2015 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT reserves a back seat for those more refined performers on the market, associates the lead for itself and drives its commuters in an exotic, fabulous and exclusive 2015 SLS AMG GT supercar that highlights an epic chapter in automotive history.

External Features
This 2015 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT Final Edition that hosts only the elite few worldwide and is worth pulling out your Platinum Card for is styling wise in conformity with it being a limited 350-unit Final Edition. In this 2015 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT Final Edition some special colors and accents are added to the sleek, low-slung, cab-rearward proportions and of course to the iconic gull-wing doors. Final Edition models get a "carbon fiber effect" hood in black, a carbon fiber front splitter, a fixed rear wing, and exclusive alloy wheels. The air inlets in the front bumper are also slightly tweaked for Final Edition models.

For those demanding distinctiveness in a vehicle, spotting an SLS AMG GT 2015 Final Edition is easy; just look for the massive carbon-fiber hood, splitter, rear spoiler and mirror caps. Offered as a coupe or roadster, both boast deeply sculpted sides and a long hood that houses the massive V8 engine. The defining feature remains the upward-opening gull-wing doors of the SLS coupe. Unfortunately, opening and closing them requires a wide range of movement, from bending down to open them to stretching high to close them. The SLS roadster doesn't have this issue since it uses traditional doors, not to mention a triple-layer fabric roof that quickly retracts for open-air thrills.

Engine Performance and Ability
This gull-winged icon with long, low hood and mean stance sounds great and handles well when raising output from its 6.2-liter V-8 engine to 583 horsepower at 6,800 rpm and 479 pound-feet of torque at 4,750 rpm. Transferred to the rear wheels through a seven-speed AMG Speed-shift dual-clutch transmission, the SLS AMG GT 2015 accelerates to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds and can hit a top speed of 197 mph.
Under the hood is a huge and powerful engine that is able to do unequaled miracles in driving while this heart of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT Final Edition for 2015 remains a naturally aspirated non-turbocharged V8 engine. It’s technically 6.2 liters in displacement, but Mercedes still likes to dub it a 6.3. Among the hand-built engine’s impressive facts – other than its 583 horsepower – is that it uses a dry-sump system for lubrication. This allows the engine to be placed lower for a better center of gravity and thus, better handling and enables you to corner hard with less worry of damaging the engine due to low oil pressure. All SLS models are rear-wheel drive and use a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Top speed for both the coupe and roadster is 197 mph.
As with any supercar, if looking for great gas mileage in this Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT Final Edition for 2015, you'll want to look elsewhere. EPA figures for the 2015 SLS AMG GT almost certainly rate this Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT Final Edition for 2015 at 13 mpg in the city, 19 mpg on the highway, and 15 mpg combined for the coupe and roadster; the Black Series comes in at 13 mpg in the city, 17 mpg on the highway, and 14 mpg combined.

Performance
Bred from the best of AMG's design expertise, the 2015 model of this Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT offers advanced suspension tuning. As AMG's first fully in-house design i.e. not based on a production Mercedes-Benz vehicle, the SLS AMG started life as a performance-first supercar, but quickly developed a bit of a reputation for biting those who weren't careful with its power and knife-edged balance. The 2013 model-year updates smoothed some of those edges, but the latest Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GTs retain bit of a tail-happy nature when pushed to the limits. It makes for an engaging drive if you're willing to grab it by the scruff of the neck and refuse to be intimidated.
While knocking out a 0-60-mph run in a scant 3.6 seconds in this Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT Final Edition for 2015 is an acceleration that borders on terrifying if it wasn’t so much fun, the SLS AMG Black Series turns the power and performance up considerably. An upgraded version of the 6.2-liter V-8 generates 622 horsepower and 468 pound-feet of torque, reaching 60 mph in 3.5 seconds. Top speed is reduced slightly roughly to196 mph thanks to the greater drag and down force created by the SLS AMG Black Series' aerodynamic additions, but those some aerodynamics translate to greatly improved grip and stability in high-speed maneuvering. Even in lower-speed maneuvers, the suspension changes in the Black Series and results in a much more controllable, manageable, and easy-to-drive super-performance car which might be counterintuitive to the words "Black Series," but nonetheless holds true in reality.

Conclusion
Driving the 2015 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT Final Edition is a scintillating experience; the expansive hood and the bellow of the barely tamed V-8 give new meaning to the term "grand touring." While we’re a bit sad to see it shuffle off this automotive coil so soon, the Final Edition seems to be a fitting tribute. After stating all these features, cost-cutting probably isn’t your highest priority if you’re in the market for a Mercedes SLS AMG GT Final Edition, while pricing here remains undisclosed, but figure on paying roughly a 10 percent premium over the $206,000 coupe and $213,000 roadster starting prices.
